Project Overview
Welcome Aboard Galactica
Galactica is an interactive, real-time architectural visualization of an intergalactic space station. Reimagining traditional sci-fi aesthetics, Galactica blends retro-futurism, sleek materials, and zero-gravity furnishings with an unapologetically feminine, organic design language. The space serves as an homage to Earth's beauty while exploring how extraterrestrial travelers collect, display, and experience memories across the cosmos.
The Problem

Hyper-Masculine Sci-Fi Tropes: Traditional spacecraft design heavily favors cold, industrial, and utilitarian aesthetics, leaving a major demographic gap for audiences who appreciate fashion, feminine design, and softer interior styles.
Human-Centric Constraints: Designing a spacecraft using standard human analogies like cars or RVs restricts spatial innovation and ignores the unique nature of zero-gravity extraterrestrial living.
Lack of Emotional Warmth in Sci-Fi Interiors: Sci-Fi environments often feel sterile and impersonal rather than lived-in homes that reflect travel and heritage.
The Solution
Redefining the Spacecraft
A real-time, walkable space station that fuses high-tech futuristic materials with soft, organic, and feminine aesthetics:
Feminine Retro-Futurism: Combines sleek metals with ceramic flooring, high-gloss plastic furnishings, and a soft pastel color palette to disrupt traditional sci-fi design.
Zero-Gravity & Earth-Homage Elements: Gravity-defying furniture layouts paired with curated Earth artifacts and travel mementos, creating a cozy, lived-in atmosphere for cosmic travelers.
Immersive 360° Visibility: Panoramas designed for expansive stargazing, blending cockpit-like visibility with residential comfort.

Galachica
Galactica was never intended to be an empty environment. To better understand how the architecture would be experienced, I designed one of the extraterrestrial travelers this spacecraft was built for. Developed using the same retro-futuristic language, soft forms, and expressive design principles found throughout the environment, the character reinforces the identity of the civilization while providing a sense of scale, culture, and life within the spacecraft.
Although presented as its own design project, the character serves as a natural extension of Galactica’s worldbuilding.
